A large living room with fireplace, TV and comfortable sofas opens onto the dining table and the Villa’s spectacular views. The kitchen is also here, at the heart of the house.
View photosBuilt more than 140 years ago as a working flower farm supplying the perfumeries of Grasse, Villa Fiori keeps its Provençal character intact.
Set 450 metres up the Col de Vence, just behind the walled city of Vence, in prime walking and cycling country, it now has a new terrace, pool and pool house beside the original buildings — an outdoor living space every visitor remarks on.
Villa Fiori is unusual in being three distinct living areas within one property. Everyone shares the gardens and the pool and gathers around the outdoor dining table, which seats up to ten. Each group still has a private space of its own to retreat to, making it ideal for extended families or families travelling together with friends.
The Villa sleeps up to 10 people.
Today, where flowers were once tended, a sparkling saltwater pool lies instead — 14.5 by 5 metres, generous enough for lap swimming and family play alike, with the same panoramic views from the water. The pool runs unheated through July and August; from September to October and April to June it can be heated for an additional €360 per week, with 48 hours' notice.
A lovely house in a lovely setting with fantastic views. The pool is excellent and the pool house is a haven of shade.
The house is not isolated but is very private.
It was great swimming in a proper size pool and then relaxing on a sunbed and enjoying a stunning view on to the sea.
