Terms & Privacy

A summary of how a stay at Villa Fiori works and how we look after your details. Please read it before you book. If anything is unclear, just ask.

Booking

Villa Fiori is not booked online. To reserve, please get in touch through the enquiry form or by email. A booking is confirmed only when we have replied in writing with the dates and price and received the deposit described below. All money is paid by bank transfer and confirmed over email.

Prices & payment

Prices are shown per week and vary with the season and the number of guests. All prices are quoted in euros. A deposit of 30% is due to secure the booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Pool heating is an optional extra, charged per week with 48 hours’ notice. Any other extras, such as a private chef or airport driver, can be arranged on request. The price is agreed and confirmed in advance.

Security deposit

A separate refundable security deposit of €1,500 is requested within the week before arrival and returned within 14 days of departure. Any damage or breakages caused by guests and any missing items will be deducted from the security deposit to cover the cost.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel, please tell us as soon as possible. A full refund is given if you cancel more than 8 weeks before arrival. No refund is given if you cancel within 8 weeks of arrival. We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover cancellation and illness. Where we can re-let the dates, we will always try to reduce what you lose.

Arrival & departure

Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am on the agreed days. Please let us know your expected arrival time so we can welcome you, show you around the property and explain all the amenities, fixtures, codes etc.

Guests & house rules

• The Main House sleeps up to 6; the Apartment up to 4 and the Guest House up to 2. The Villa can be rented for a maximum of 10 guests in total. Please do not exceed these numbers.
• Pets are not permitted.
• The Villa is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, as there are steps throughout the property.
• Please respect our neighbours and keep noise down late in the evening.
• Smoking is not permitted inside the buildings.
• The Villa is only suitable for children over 4.
• Children must be supervised at all times, particularly around the pool, which is not lifeguarded.
• The property is gated, with CCTV at the entrances.

Care of the Villa

We ask you to treat the Villa and its contents as your own. Guests are responsible for any damage beyond fair wear and tear during their stay. Please recycle where you can. We would appreciate guests emptying the bins before leaving the property.

Liability

We take care to keep the Villa safe and well maintained but guests use the property, grounds and pool at their own risk. We accept no liability for any accident, injury or illness during a stay. We cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to guests’ belongings, or for interruptions to services outside our control such as water, electricity or internet. Nothing here limits any rights you have under law.

We cannot accept responsibility for external issues outside our control, such as adverse weather or noise from building, construction or maintenance works nearby. We will always warn guests in advance of any known construction or maintenance works close to the Villa. As these matters are outside our control, we are unable to offer refunds or partial refunds if they occur.

No glass is permitted by the pool. The pool can be alarmed, and it is the guests’ choice whether to use the pool alarm. We especially recommend using it if any children are on the premises, as the pool is not lifeguarded. If broken glass is found in the pool, the cost of draining, cleaning and refilling the pool will be requested from the renting guests, separately from the security deposit.

Privacy

When you send an enquiry we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address, dates and the number of guests. We use them only to reply to you and to arrange your stay. We do not sell your details, add you to mailing lists or use them for mass marketing.

We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or booking and for any period the law requires. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies; it stores only your chosen language in your own browser.

If you leave a review, we use your name and the review itself on our website. Your name and the year of your stay will also be published there.

Our enquiry form opens your own email programme, so your message travels by ordinary email.
